As we make preparations to return to in-person games in 2023, we understand that COVID-19 is still a serious health issue in the US and that we need to take precautions in order to minimize the risk of an outbreak at our events. As such, we have decided to require proof of vaccination at all Eternal Pizza Party Productions, Inc events. In order to attend, you must be fully vaccinated with a booster. You must either present your vaccine card at sign-in, which must indicate either 3 doses of the Moderna or Pfizer vaccine or 2 doses of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine, or provide another verification of vaccination as accepted at the discretion of the game’s director. At this time, we, unfortunately, cannot offer exemptions from this policy for any reason. We STRONGLY recommend that players receive the Bivalent booster shot before attending our events.
We will closely be monitoring the infection rates of the tri-state area. Based on the data, on a game by game basis, we will be adjusting our masking policy. If infection rates remain in the green for these areas, we will be allowing players tp wear masks at their own comfort. If infection rates begin to trend toward red, we will move back to masks required. Masks will continue to be required in the kitchen at all times.
Players should not draw attention to the fact that characters are wearing masks, as one of the purposes of a LARP is to escape from the stress of everyday life, including that caused by the pandemic.
Furthermore, and we cannot state this enough, if you feel sick or are showing any symptoms which may indicate you have COVID, do not come to an event. If the staff of an event feels that your presence may pose a risk to the health of the staff or player base, they will ask you to leave. We know it always sucks to miss out on a LARP event, but it is so incredibly important to watch out for each other during what we hope is the tail-end of this pandemic.
This policy is subject to change, based on updated booster status and guidance by the CDC.
Remember to take care of yourselves!
$50, or Free to Full-time NPC.
Each game attended provides you with 5 build and 1 Insight to advance an Attribute.
Up to 2 extra build can be bought for $10 each per game.
We will allow people to buy back games missed at $30. However, you only get Insight for advancing attributes by attending our games. If you buy back an event you will receive the 5 build but will not receive Insight.
Players can play multiple alternate characters. However, they can only switch during period changes, once they switch the player must remain that alt for the remainder of the period. A player can divide their monthly 5 build between their characters as they like.
An established player may choose to “retire” their character at any time. When doing so, their new character will receive 25% of their previous character's build and 1 additional insight for every 5. (for example: retiring a character with 20 insight and 100 build will give you an extra 4 insight and 25 build to spend on your new character.)
Due to concerns with Covid, Frontier Dawn will not be providing a full meal service during the 2023 season. A limited assortment of snacks will be provided in the kitchen area. However, players are welcome to bring and prepare their own food on camp, or leave as needed to get food during our soft hold at feast time. We will provide in-game appropriate bowls and cups for players who wish to sign them out. Please feel free to bring your own in game utensils as well.
There are plenty of cabins on camp with 2 bunks in each cabin. Tent sleeping is also allowed, please check with staff on the best place to set up your tent.
Due to the potential safety concerns of Live Action Role Play, and for insurance purposes, Frontier Dawn has the following age restrictions: A person must be at least 12 years of age, and with legal guardian supervision, to attend Frontier Dawn events. A person must be at least 14 years of age, and with legal guardian supervision, to participate in combat scenarios.
Full-time NPC is Free. We require our players to NPC a period each game.
Saturday Afternoon(3-7) (7-8 is a soft hold for feast)
Saturday Evening (8-12)
We will do our best to make sure every PC gets the period they want. However, if we find periods are empty we may move people around. If you preregister you get the first pick of the desired NPC shift. During an NPC shift you are required to play a plot or monster role, if medical reasons prevent you from actively fighting or walking to do your NPC role then we will ask you to help clean up the Monster hut.
At FD we use 4 techniques of handling intense situations. We will never have content aimed at Suicide or Sexual Abuse. It is hard to know every players’ fear or keep track of what may cause duress for some people, we want to make sure our players are safe as well as create situations in-game that cause intense drama and an enhanced horror element. *Please note that we will have immersive intense, potentially stressful, and horrific mods that are meant to enhance, dramatize and thrill but the player’s safety and mental well-being are always our top priority.
The first rule we have at our disposal is the stoplight rule. If ever you are in a situation and feel it elevating say yellow light to let the player or NPC know that they need to cool it down, If things continue to say red light, and that person is to stop step away and let you collect yourself in any way you see fit.
The second rule we have is the space rule. Sometimes people need time to re-energize or take it easy. We will never penalize anyone for needing some time to collect themselves or recharge. If you need to step away from a mod, you have the right to not be questioned about it and have your space. *Please note that you are responsible for your own self-care, if you need to step back the mod will continue unless a hold is called.*
The third rule is the rule of consent. PCs and NPCs must ask consent before physically touching you. Physical role play in our game is defined by touching the arms, legs, upper back or stomach only, when asking for physical RP permission please state “do you consent to physical RP” if you wish for a player not to touch you in any of the assigned physical RP spots please state “no” or “ Yes but just not my X”. Most in-game props not on your character can be physically taken with the exception of bags. Players are not permitted to touch, look inside or move another player’s bag or pouch without permission in or out of game.
The fourth rule we have is the Orange wristband rule. Players who wish to have their boundaries pushed by dramatic intense situations and horrific scenes may choose to wear an orange wristband. This indicates that you are fine with small amounts of physical Roleplay, physical challenges, and horrific scenes. If we think there will be Orange content on a mod the NPC hooking it will say “things could get hairy” “Hairy” mods will never have anything on them that would punish you progression or power-wise. Players have the right to ask the marshal in the white headband if something involves X content that marshal will reply yes or no. Please note that NPCs may follow this rule as well. If you do not see an NPC with an Orange wrist band you must ask permission first before physical RP.
